Holiday Playschemes

boy playing in softplayWhat are playschemes?
Playschemes are fun, activity based "club" style childcare that runs during the holidays. Some concentrate on a certain sport: tennis or football, some are just a mixture of fun and games. Many are run by the local council and many are run privately, often by local parents or teachers. You can book by the day, or by the week.

Why use them?
Most kids love their time at "Holiday Camp" and they are a saviour for working mums, but even if you're not working while the schools are off they are well worth a look. Buy yourself a few days to sort out the clutter - or to just sit and relax uninterrupted!

Where and when?boy playing football
Many playschemes are run in local schools during the holidays utilising empty playgrounds, sports areas, computer rooms, halls and gyms. Many are run in leisure centres and include swimming and tennis. Others are run in parks, playcentres, and all sorts of places that can cope with a group of excited, active children running about and having fun. Some run all through the holidays, some just for a week or two. You can book as much or as little time as suits you and your children.
